Collaborate Unit 1 Activity 1

The Five Levels of Networking for Collaboration and Engagement is a simple graph describing the levels of engagement for collaboration in a very Bloom's-Like or Webb-Level manner. Note the two small descriptions that explain more about each level.  Compare and contrast the descriptors.

Reflect on your interactions with your peers or friends/family in a professional and personal setting. Which interactions are achieving a higher level? Why?

Now reflect on structured activities you may have for your learners in a classroom setting. At what times are learners reaching a higher level? Are the factors that may contribute to learners working at a higher level? What can we learn about the way we structure collaborative lessons to achieve higher levels? Do teacher/facilitators need to scaffold experiences up the respective levels for students?
